DR. OLIVER C. ROBERSON

Chiropractic has an overall way of looking at the human body. It’s based on the idea that the body is self-sustaining and self-healing. The body is in essence completely controlled by the brain through its connection via the spinal cord and the vast networks of nerves that make up the body. When this system is not functioning at its peak, the overall performance of the human body is lacking.

While it’s often perceived that the chiropractor is solely here to treat back and neck pain, this is simply a small piece of what the profession really is capable of handling. Chiropractors not only treat soft and hard tissue problems such as sciatica and joint pain, but are largely called on to deal with more significant issues. Some of these issues include fibromyalgia, allergies, insomnia, headaches and many more.

We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality chiropractic care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.

Dr. Oliver C. Roberson, DC

Dr. Roberson (Dr. Rob) is a US Navy veteran and a Cum Laude graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic, located in Atlanta, GA. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Med). He is a certified specialist in Health Ergonomics and an experienced Chiropractic Sports Physician.

From the very beginning, Dr. Roberson began looking at the body from an engineering point of view. He wanted to completely understand the complexities and the reasoning behind the dysfunction of the spine. He began his studies with Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT) and specializes in it. This technique examines the body as whole; and not just individual parts. It explains the relationship of the spine and extremities and how they relate to an individual’s complaints of pain. Dr. Roberson also became certified in Ergonomic Assessment to better understand the effects that postural strain has on the body. He has devoted years in post graduate study to clinical biomechanics, rehabilitation, sports injuries, and Somatic muscle re-education.

While completing his studies in the SOT technique, Dr. Roberson began to see the importance of the upper cervical region and its relationship to complex cervico-thoracic complaints. He decided to investigate Atlas Orthogonal procedures. During his research, he began to understand the importance of the upper cervical (C0-C2) region and the effect that it has on the rest of the spine. He needed to explain the relationship between the two techniques and thus began his study in clinical biomechanics. Dr. Roberson, along with the very impressive late Dr. Elliott Alpher (DMD, Sleep Apnea and Myofascial Pain Specialist), worked as a specialty team on patients with TMJ Dysfunction and signs of Cervical Dysfunction. During the 11 years of team co-treatment, Dr. Alpher and Dr. Rob focused on Cervical Spine treatment with patients who suffered from Chronic headaches, Myofascial Pain and TMJ Dysfunction with a very high degree of success.

Dr. Roberson is a member of the Sacral Occipital Technique Organization, The American Chiropractic Association, American Academy of Spine Physicians, American College of Sports Medicine and The Academy of Spinal Biomechanics and Rehabilitation.
